Anyone who knows me knows that Thanksgiving is my favourite holiday of the year. I love coming together as a family enjoying good food and good company. As the years go by it's becoming a bigger event as some of us have gotten married and some of us have kids.
This year we decided to do it on Friday night. We had it at my parent's house because their house is HUGE! Last year we hosted, but it was so crazy with your cousin's, Ethan and Naomi, running all around our house creating havoc. Mind you, they still ran around like crazy kids, but at least it wasn't at our place. Keke.
Your Toronto grandparents bought a new bedroom set for Auntie Sara's old room so we did a photo shoot with you sitting on the bed. Smile for the camera, hun!
We all went downstairs to hang out in the family room and while your Toronto grandmother was holding you you started digging for gold!
From left to right: Auntie Sara, you, cousin (it's not your real cousin. It's my cousin Mike's son) Ethan, cousin Mike, cousin Naomi.
You were so fascinated by Ethan. I think it's because he was older than you, but not an adult. You kept staring at him.
At one point you had your hand on his thighs!
Your Toronto grandmother slicing the ham that Auntie Susan made. Her signature dish is the maple glazed pineapple ham. Daddy loves this! He insisted that I write down her recipe.
Another view of the delicious looking ham. Mmmmmm. It was definitely the star of the night.
Auntie Sara baked apple pie for the event. Look how perfect it looks.
Daddy looks amused holding you.
The dinner table. Too bad mommy didn't wear her Thanksgiving pants! Auntie Jess made the scallop potatoes; Auntie Sandra made the turkey; stuffing and cranberry sauce; and your Toronto grandmother made the caesar salad, mashed potatoes, pasta, and green peans and shrimp. (Not shown, Auntie Susan's ham and Auntie Sara's apple pie)
The three stooges. You guys started playing follow the leader where you were the leader. Ethan and Naomi kept following you. You guys played that for a good hour.
It looks like you lost Naomi.
Here you guys are again going around and around.
What a cute team.
