The downfalls of having a baby…

I've been waiting for the time when all my hair would fall out and it looks like this is the week when it started. For those of you who are childless this is one of the downsides of having a baby- A LOT of hair starts falling off when the baby reaches the 3-4 month stage. I remember with Aidan I lost a ton of hair. Not knowing that this was going to happen I cut my hair right after I had him. What a big mistake that was. This time around I didn't chop off so much. I got a little trim in preparation of me losing a lot of hair. My hair texture has also changed. It's really frizzy and coarse. Actually it was like that the whole 2nd and 3rd trimester. I can't wait until my hair goes back to normal…

34-week checkup

I did my last ultrasound today. I'm now 34-weeks pregnant. I was able to see baby Kendall and she is getting so big! I saw her big eyes and she was moving around so much in mommy's belly. She is so different from you already. The doctor told me that I'm doing fantastic and Kendall is at the 40th percentile. That is good because considering how small I am I don't want to be having a huge baby. She's now about 4lbs 6oz.

Here's the difference between you and Kendall:

- Kendall moves around much more than you in mommy's belly
- I had terrible cystic acne in my first trimester with Kendall. With you, I had great, clear skin
- I had terrible heartburn with you during my last trimester. With Kendall I seem to be doing much better
- I think I gained more weight carrying you than with Kendall
- I had these terrible red bumps all over my belly when I was carrying you at my last trimester. I have yet to see that carrying Kendall
- I feel very low carrying Kendall. Sometimes it feels like she will come out so I have to pace myself to slow down.
- I am much more out-of-breath carrying Kendall
- I feel very uncomfortable all the time carrying Kendall. Especially when I'm lying down. I have to sleep on my sides because the pressure when I lie on my back is too much for me to bear. At first I could only sleep on my left side, but lately it's much more comfortable sleeping on my right side.
- I had terrible back aches during my 1st and 2nd trimester with Kendall. I had to roll over to the sides and crawl sometimes because my lower back killed!

I'm curious to see if the labour will be much different. I had a pretty good labour with you so I'm definitely scared that this time around I'll have it hard… We shall see!
