Are you up to no good?

Dear Aidan,

Look at that face! You totally look like you did something and are up to no good. Anyways, here are 5 things that happened today:

You woke up at 7:30am this morning. I think you woke up earlier than usual because daddy made so much noise before he left for work this morning. Ugh!

You had meat for the 3rd time ever today. You make the funniest face when you try meat, more specifically beef. You make this disgusted face like you are going to gag. It's so funny! Maybe you're a vegetarian baby.

You pooed 3 times today. I think the few days that you didn't have a bowel movement caused you to poo a lot yesterday and today.

You and I went for a walk around 1:30pm. I wanted you to take a nap and a sure way for you to nap is if you are in the stroller. It's been very difficult for me to put you to sleep during the day so I had to take you out. Unfortunately you only slept for like 10 minutes. Basically babies your age are supposed to be taking 2 naps during the day to sleep for a total of 14 hours in a day. You take 0 naps during the day and you sleep late and wake up early. UGH!

Right before you slept you kept crying out for me. You kept saying 'um-ma, um-ma' while you were blowing bubbles from your mouth. You were exhausted so I think you were trying to communicate with me. Daddy said, 'I think Aidan likes you more than me.' Duh.

5 things

Dear Aidan,

Here are 5 things that happened today:

You had the world's smallest poo today. It was the size of a small pellet. And the funny thing was it was stuck on your scrotum. Now that I'm feeding you solid foods your poo texture has changed drastically. It used to be really runny and curdle-y, but now it's more like chocolate mousse or like adult poo (the firm kind). I know it's disgusting to talk about poo and stuff like that. Sorry!

Daddy has started to train you to start walking on your own. He wants to get you to walk on your own by 10 months. He keeps telling me how he was walking when he was 8 months and nonsense like that. This is coming from a guy who can't even remember what he did the day before. Anyways, he puts you by the living room couch and you scoot side to side while holding on to the couch. I think he's trying to build up your leg strength so that you can walk soon. I'm going to be video recording that pretty soon so watch out for it.

You started showing signs of separation anxiety today. When we leave you in the play room and say 'bye bye Aidan' and leave the room you start panicking. You start to crawl really quickly to find us. Of course we wouldn't leave you by yourself in the room, but we were just seeing what your reaction would be like. It's actually pretty cute.

You seem to like it when I graze your head with my fingernails. I think you like the feeling. I was doing it while I was feeding you and you kept closing your eyes every time I did it.

You barfed quite a bit today. Every time we put you in your jumper I think the up and down motion makes you get motion sickness.

5 things

Dear Aidan,

Here are 5 things that happened today:

You woke up at 8am screaming/crying. Mommy was very unhappy because she hardly got any sleep the day before.

You took a really long nap in the afternoon. Probably because you hardly slept either?!

You took a huge dump while in your playard.

You had your first oatmeal today. You actually liked the taste. So far, you've had rice cereal (which you like), barley (which you hate), and oatmeal.

You are now molesting Sophie. You just absolutely love her. You are scraping her legs against your teeth. I think it soothes you.

Here's you trying to grab mommy's camera:

5 things

Here are 5 things that happened today:

You slept in our bed last night because we came home really late from our couples group. We figured that as a treat for making you stay up so late you should sleep in our bed.

Mommy left daddy to take care of you for most of the day so she could watch Avatar with her friend, Lana.

I know I'm supposed to be writing about what happened today, but we found out that our friend Jenn and Ed are expecting a baby! They have been trying for so long to have a baby and praise God that He was able to bless them. We can't wait to see if they are having a boy or a girl.

I think you aren't teething as much now. The bottom right tooth has grown out more and you're not drooling and putting your finger in your mouth as much.

Mommy was worried about leaving you alone with daddy for most of the day, but he did a really good job and you were pretty good too. I'm so proud of you both!

5 things

Dear Aidan,

Daddy is trying to put you to sleep right now. I've been having a tough time these days putting you to sleep. You fall asleep after you get breastfed, but once I put you in your crib you wake up and start rolling around like crazy. I have a feeling daddy won't be successful putting you to sleep, but we'll see.

Anyways, here are 5 things that happened today:

   We went to church today.

Asher grabbed your arm at church and put your hand in his mouth. I think he thought you were a toy.

You sat for the first time in a high chair at church. You were doing ok in it until you put your head back and hit the back of the chair. Ouch.

You barfed on daddy today. It was the second day you did that.

Mommy and daddy were watching Iris for a few days now. I think daddy was really into it because he pretended he was agent Sa Woo and tried to shoot Sophie in the head as a joke. You weren't impressed.

5 things

Dear Aidan,

Here are 5 things that happened today:

You woke up at 6:30am when daddy left for work. You cried so much that mommy had to take you out of your crib and sleep with you in my bed. We woke up again at 10:30am.

Mommy baked for 6 hours to make cookie packages for Dennis' coworkers as Christmas gifts.

You took 2 naps during the day.

Mommy, daddy and you went to Toys R Us when daddy came home from work. You didn't get anything :-(

Mommy and daddy went to Cho Sun Ok (mommy's favourite naeng myung restaurant) after Toys R Us to eat dinner. You were a nightmare at the restaurant. People stopped eating to stare at us. It looks like now we can't take you out anywhere...

5 things

Dear Aidan,

Here are 5 things that happened today:

Your grandpa and grandma (on mommy's side) moved to their new house today.

Daddy took a day off from work to help grandma and grandpa move. You and I went around 3pm to their new house to check it out. It's so nice!

Daddy fell down the stairs at grandma and grandpa's house 6 times! The first time he fell, you and I were right behind him. I think you got upset that he fell because you started crying. Don't worry, daddy was ok.

Mommy and daddy bought you a new moisturizer cream for your eczema. It's called Mustela Stelaprotect. It's a milder moisturizer than the one we bought you earlier. I think the other one stung you a bit.

A woman at the baby store where we bought your cream commented that you were a beautiful baby.

What's happening today

Dear Aidan,

From now on I'm going to be posting 5 things that happened each day. Here's today's 5 things:

   You pooed twice.

You started biting mommy's nipple when I am feeding you. It hurts! I hope you stop doing it. Because it's going to REALLY hurt when your teeth starts coming out.

Your back got a bit better. It's not as red. It was really bad yesterday.

Today was the first snowfall. Too bad we both didn't see it because we were indoors...

Auntie Sara came over today to see you. She also brought mommy's favourite tea- London Fog.
