Today is mommy and daddy's 4 year wedding anniversary. It's crazy to believe that daddy and I have been married for 4 years. We knew each other for 5 years before that so basically we've been together for almost 10 years! Crazy...
Every year my iPhone calendar alerts me a few days before that our anniversary is coming. When I reminded daddy a couple of days go he didn't even know that our anniversary was today! I gave him hell for that. I went on and on about how he never does anything and how he never gets me flowers and a card, blah blah blah. I didn't think he was even listening to what I was saying because I've been nagging to him about that for so long. When I got home from work he was so secretive of where he was taking me. We ended up at Piatto Vecchio, which is a restaurant he took me and my family to when we had announced our engagement. The food was so good and I had such a great time. I was happy with how the night ended, but wait, it didn't end there! When we got home I went to my office to grab a pen and there was a bouquet of flowers and a... CARD! Wow. I was blown away. I actually screamed. I was smiling from ear to ear. The most wonderful part about it was that he wrote the best card that I had ever gotten in my life. I am still smiling and I can't stop smiling.
Here is daddy trying to keep you occupied by playing Four Squares on his iPhone. It worked. We had a pleasant dinner where we actually got to enjoy our food rather than scarf everything down quickly.
We got crab cakes and asparagus soup for our appetizer. That asparagus soup was to die for.
I got beef tenderloin in a balsamic reduction sauce and daddy got a veal dish. It was delish.
These are the flowers that were waiting for me at home. I can't believe he actually kept it a secret. He usually is so excited to keep anything to himself. I totally didn't see this coming.
The lovely card. I'm going to save this for the rest of my life.
I could cry just reading this card. He even signed it!
You were pretty happy too. I think you were just happy mommy and daddy were happy.
Here are the flowers in the vase.
Every time I look at these flowers I'm going to have a big smile on my face.
