Happy birthday sweetie. You must've had a great birthday because you kept saying, "Happy birthday" over and over when mommy came home. I guess they sang that song to you at daycare so you had it in your head. Mommy rushed home so that I would be home to see you receive our gift to you- Elmo & Cookie Monster dolls. You absolutely went gaga over them. Here's a video of you getting them:
I kept telling daddy that we created a monster because you wouldn't let them go. We had to do errands after and I didn't want you to take both of them since they aren't that small to carry around. However, you wouldn't let them out of your hands. When I put Cookie Monster away you threw a temper tantrum. It wasn't pretty. You cried all the way to Costco in the car calling out, "Cookie! Cookie!" and pointing out the window. Daddy and mommy had to sing Happy Birthday over and over again to calm you down. Look at your disgusted face below.
You were holding Elmo, but you weren't happy about it. You wanted BOTH Elmo and Cookie Monster. Sigh.
Even though you are at a terrible 2 stage it's been the most amazing 2 years of mommy's life. I look forward to another year with you and getting to know you a little better. Every day I'm amazed how wonderful and precious you are. We love you so much and here's to another great year!
