Play date with Asher & Austin

Today was mommy's date to host a play date with Asher and Austin.
Daddy was pretty stressed out about today because both Asher and Austin are pretty rough boys and they aren't very gentle when they play. Their house is a kids playground and all their walls are filled with scribbles, paint and scuff marks. Daddy didn't want them to come over and totally trash our house. But you know what? It's all about what makes you happy, right? You enjoy when kids your age come over because it's not always fun and games playing with an adult.

Asher, Austin and their mom YJ came over around 11:30am. I made miyeok gook for the kids and chicken quesadilla for the adults. At first you weren't very outgoing, but that's how you normally are. You were much better than the last time we met though. It took a lot less time for you to warm up. Because YJ speaks mainly Korean to her boys, I think you guys had a harder time bonding. With Nate you guys were holding hands and following each others moves, but with you and Asher you guys were playing separately for a long time. It was only near the end of the play date that you guys started playing together.

Boys will be boys. You are normally a gentle kid, but I guess all the excitement of playing with
kids your age brings out your wild side. You were throwing all your toys and banging toys
everywhere. Daddy will not be pleased :-S

Daddy wasn't feeling too well at work so he came home early. During the evening he lifted you
up and held you in his arms like he was holding a baby. It was only then that we realized how
big you had grown. You now look like an awkward big kid in daddy's arms. No longer a baby…
