Ellie's birthday + my daddy's health

It's been a crazy few days because your Toronto grandpa had to undergo gall bladder surgery on Thursday.
Thank God he is ok, but I totally freaked out when Auntie Sara called me in the morning while I was on my way to work to say that something had happened to him. My heart stopped because she was crying while she was telling me. At the time we didn't know what was wrong with him- just that he had severe stomach pains and had to go to emergency. After work I went to the hospital to see him. He was at the hospital recuperating until today and I had told him to call Dennis and I so that we could pick him up. We did have a birthday party to go to at noon, but we thought my dad would be discharged around 3:30pm, which would give us enough time to enjoy the party.
However, he was discharged earlier than we expected so daddy had to rush out after eating his food to go pick him up. Otherwise it was a great party. You were super tired (as were other toddlers that were at the party) because it was your nap time. I know now that next time I do a party for my 2nd I will NEVER hold a party at noon.

Can you tell that you look a little delirious? It's because you were so tired.

Angela, Ellie's mom (the birthday girl), made the flower lollipops. I think hers were better
than mine! She used these as centrepieces for each table.

Angela also made the banner. I have to give her props. I think she did a great job.

Patty made the cake for the party. It was delicious!

that too in my craft collection.

For the remainder of the party you stayed seated in your booster chair.

Everyone kept telling me how good you were because you didn't get restless sitting in there.
Angela even came up to me to comment how good you were.

Oh, and I forgot to mention- that's not jajang myun sauce on your face. It's scabs. You
scratched your face a few days ago and had multiple marks on your nose and on your cheeks.
People kept telling me to wipe your face because they thought it was food sauce!
