Dear Aidan,
Happy Valentines Day!
So mommy has been glued to the TV ever since the Olympics have started on Friday. Today was especially exciting because Canada won it's first gold medal in 33 years on home turf. You and I were both cheering on Alexandre Bilodeau and we were so happy when he won.
It's obvious that you didn't seem to like the food all that much. But, yay for daddy that he is trying to help me out with the feedings. And let's see... mommy and daddy had to lower your crib mattress to the lowest position because after you woke from your nap yesterday daddy saw you trying to raise yourself out of the crib. The manual for the crib said that once you are able to hoist yourself up to a standing position from the crib we have to lower the mattress. I'm so happy for you that you have reached another milestone, but it is getting more and more difficult to keep up with you.
And let's see... you've started doing quite a few different things lately. One thing you started doing is squinting your eyes when you are tired. It's really cute. I would love to capture it on film, but I'm not sure if that's possible. You get pretty camera shy. Another thing you've been doing is talking. I'm not talking about actually pronouncing words, but you blab a lot. And I mean A LOT. I find that you do it when you are tired or in a playful mood. I'm trying to make you say 'Um-ma' (it means mommy in Korean) and 'Appah' (it means daddy in Korean), but so far nothing. Oh well. It will happen soon enough.
