Why, hello there Kendall!

Sorry that most of the posts for December have been mainly about Aidan. It's because of the Advent Calendar. I hope you understand. Since Aidan always wants to play with me instead of with daddy you've been spending a lot more time with daddy. That's fine by me because now you seem to love being around daddy. Today while mommy was playing with Aidan in the basement I heard someone coming down the stairs. I turned around to see and I saw you at the top of the stairs being held by daddy. You were smiling at me and just the cutest little sight that I ever did see!

Advent Calendar: Get a Lollipop & Make a castle picture

We didn't open box #22 yesterday. The reason why we didn't do it yesterday was because it was our family's Christmas dinner at Auntie Jess' new house and mommy was cooking all day. Daddy took you swimming in the afternoon so that you guys could be out of my hair. So we had to combine opening box #22 and box #23 today.

I also got you to pose wearing your new Angry Birds socks that your Vancouver grandma sent
from Vancouver. She sent you so many socks!

but your Vancouver grandma couldn't find it in your size. She looked everywhere for them.
She ended up sending you tons of Angry Birds socks, Robo Car Poli, Spiderman. She also
sent Kendall tons of Hello Kitty socks. She is such a good grandma…

Don't mess with daddy

I took this photo of you right after you got "meh meh" (spanking) from daddy.

You have been acting up lately- talking back to us, throwing huge temper tantrums, crying when you don't get your way and saying bad words (i.e., hot Jesus [I think you learned this from daycare]). We were trying to put you down for a nap today, but you were not having it so daddy lost it and gave you a pretty bad spanking. I usually don't butt in when you are getting in trouble by daddy because I don't want our parenting to be contradictory. It also takes A LOT for daddy to get angry so you can imaging how bad you get sometimes. However, you were crying so much and daddy was so fed up with you that I had to go into your room and calm you down. I calmly explained to you why daddy got angry and that he did that out of love. This was the sad face that was staring back at me. Inside I was pretty torn up, but I knew that I can't baby you or else your bad behaviour will continue on.

Month-by-month- Month 5

It's already 5 months??? Where does the time go? How can my baby be already 5 months old? It seems like yesterday when I gave birth to you. You are my sunshine girl and I'm forever grateful to God for blessing us with a wonderful baby girl. I love you. I will forever cherish you.

You got in so much trouble today…

You pooed in your pants 3 times today and got a lot of meh meh's in the process. I don't know what's the problem. You understand everything that we tell you now and we repeat it over and over, "Aidan, if you have to go poo remember to tell mommy and daddy, ok??" This morning you woke up with poo in your diaper so daddy had to give you a bath. Then while you were watching TV downstairs you pooed in your pants. Daddy was so angry! Then you had 1 more accident after that- and right in front of me for that matter! I even asked you shortly before it happened, "Aidan, remember to tell mommy if you have to go poo." In which you nodded yes.

We even had 2 boxes of Transformer toys- 1 in the basement and 1 in your room for you to open when you pooed in the potty as an incentive. It's been sitting in its box for more than a few days now because you just weren't going in the potty…

I didn't think you would have another bowel movement after going 3 times in your pants, but I was wrong! You and I were playing in the basement while daddy took a nap and I could see that your face was looking very concentrated and you just looked very uncomfortable. I asked you, "Aidan, do you have to go poo?" You shook your head no, but I could tell you weren't feeling too good. I scooped you up and ran to the potty and sat you down even when you were resisting. As soon as I sat you down you pooed! I know it's not ideal. I would have preferred if you had told me instead, instead of me dragging you to the potty, but I made sure to praise you afterwards. Hopefully this will make you tell me beforehand next time. You got to open one of your Transformers toys because of this.

Advent Calendar: Enjoy Cookies and milk

Remember when you had cookies and milk on day 3? Well, I had the same activity for today. I thought you would be happy, but you seemed a little bummed. You are just one of those kids that doesn't go crazy for sweets. 

Always itching. You have severely dry skin so you're always itching your skin. Especially now
since it's winter. The only cream that seems to work is the Spectro Eczema cream.

21, here we go!

Milk and cookies. These cookies were actually quite delicious, but you told me you didn't want
any.

I still put the plate of cookies beside you just in case, but it was left untouched. Oh well.

We have a problem…

You've stopped pooing in the potty. You were doing so well at the beginning, but now you are holding it and refusing to poo. Then you either poo in your pants or poo while sleeping. I just had to clean you up after you pooed in your pants while sleeping. I was so angry! I just hate it how you don't tell us. Daddy and I constantly remind you to tell us when you have to go and we even bought several toys that are still unboxed as a reward for you for pooeing in the potty. I even read you Elmo's potty book before I put you to bed. It's just so frustrating.
