Usually every morning after I have fed you solids we always go over to the foyer area where we have this big ledge and I sit you on the ledge. I sing a little song like 'Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall...' or 'I'm the King of the house'. Now you are able to sit on that by yourself without tilting over. Of course I still have to be careful and make sure I have a hold on you, but your back is strong now and you have good head support. I was trying to take a photo of you standing while you were facing the shoe closet mirror, but you went on all 4's and started heading towards the mirror. You just love your reflection and you were trying to touch yourself.
I came home half an hour ago from my friend, Jenn's house. The day after your birthday Anina and I will be co-hosting Jenn's baby shower. It's going to be a very tiring weekend. I went over to her new condo for the first time today to prepare stuff for the shower. Her place is so nice! Her baby's room is all set up and so cute. We stayed for almost 4 hours wrapping boxes, making labels, wrapping cups with cellophane, but it was all in good fun. We talked a lot and had good food. It's really nice doing stuff like that once in a while. No offense to you, but sometimes mommy needs to be away from you. She needs adult interaction other than with daddy. But, I was sad when I came home and you were sleeping. I didn't get to give you a good night kiss. That's what I'm afraid of. Once I go back to work there are going to be days when mommy works late and she will come home and not have seen you before you went to bed. That will break my heart...
