We went over to Asher's house today. Originally, Asher, Asher's mom, you, and me were going to meet at Promenade Mall to go to Gymboree today, but Asher's mom had to stay in because the cable guy was coming during the time of the Gymboree program. She asked me to come over to their house instead. Asher doesn't live too far from us.
Asher's mom, YJ, made a really good lunch with naeng myun (one of mommy's favourite Korean dishes) and goon mandu. She also gave me dduk and Korean ice cream. I was stuffed! The good thing about their house is it's a child's paradise. She doesn't really care how nice her house looks as long as it works for her son, Asher. You and Asher made a mess playing on the family room, but I think you had a lot of fun. You were entranced at all the new toys.
I couldn't get a photo of you still because you were moving in all different directions. Look at Asher lurking in the background.
Asher kept watching you while you played. He also watched you eat. YJ said that Asher doesn't eat Cheerios anymore, but when he saw you eat it he wanted to eat it too. Kids are funny that way. You, however, didn't seem that interested in Asher. You were in your own little world while you played.
Oh! Guess who came behind you to give you a bear hug?
After hours of playing you fell asleep on mommy's shoulder. I put you down shortly after on YJ's couch.
You slept with one eye open. Kind of scary...
All in all it was a good day. Tomorrow night your Vancouver grandparents come to Toronto.
