Wow. Today was a scorcher of a day. I think it was well over 30 degrees. I didn't put the A/C on because I'm trying to save money, but when daddy came home he found out that the heater was on! I don't know how that happened, but that explains why it was so bloody hot in our house. Rosco was so hot that he was sprawled on his side underneath our bed. I had to check on him a few times to see if he was alive because he looked D-E-A-D.
I didn't even want to take you outside for a walk because I did that yesterday and you got a sock tan. You also got a sock tan on Monday from our trip to the zoo so I didn't want you to burn.
You've been doing something very funny today. You've been throwing out all your toys in your playpen one by one. When I pick it up and put it back in you throw it out again. You've been doing that all day! I'm not sure if it's something that you're fixated on for a certain time and you will eventually get over it and move on to doing something else. I heard that that is common in babies your age. You also started forming bubbles with your mouth when you start getting very tired. You start making 'Mmmm-ma' sounds while making those bubbles. You can blow it pretty big. I should get it on camera when you do it next time. Auntie Sara saw it yesterday while she was over and she was fascinated.
I worked on another thing for your birthday party today. I finished making the library cards to stick on the goody bags for the kids loot bags. Here is a sneak peek:
So what I did was purchase this library kit at Indigo last week. I'm using the library card pocket to print your name on it and stamp it with your birth date. Then instead of using the library check-out card that was included in the kit I printed my own card in card stock and rounded the corners with my corner rounder. I put a photo of you on it and I'm going to hand write a thank you note for the guests in your name.
