Daycare camera

Dear Aidan,

This morning before I went to work I watched you at daycare through the daycare webcam. I don't have webcam access at work, so anytime I have a little time to spare at home I try to watch you. You are now so active so you were all over the place grabbing toys and touching everything. At one point you had a toy that 2 other toddlers were interested in. They were closing in on you and trying to grab the toy from you. You, being the feisty little boy you are, wouldn't give in and one of the boys pushed you to the ground. That's the screen capture I shot of that exact moment. An ECE teacher saw what had happened so I think she was saying something to all you guys. All 3 of you then dispersed into different directions and started playing with other toys. It was quite funny seeing it all unfold.

I'm not the type of mom that is so overprotective of you. I think daddy's more like that. I can't always protect you and make sure nothing bad happens to you. These are all things that you have to learn yourself. So things like another kid pushing you, yeah I know it's not great, but it's something that I don't think is a big deal. I know your grandma (Vancouver) would think otherwise. She calls me to let me know something little that happened at daycare. She can be so overbearing at times. Unless you get hurt and cry I think it's all harmless.
