It was a beautiful Fall day today. I think the temperature went up to 18 degrees.
I suggested to my mother-in-law that we should take the kids out to the park later in the day. We were basically cooking all morning- she was making kimchi, mandoo and preparing stuff for dinner and I was making you lunch- chicken noodle soup. I'm pretty annoyed at you because ever since your grandmother came you have been acting up and not listening to me. I think you know that you can get away with anything. Usually it's pretty good having you and Kendall home with me, but today was HARD. But not as hard as it was on Friday. On Friday we went grocery shopping and you were acting crazy out in public. You ran away in the parking lot, you ran like crazy in the supermarket, you were whiny and you didn't want to walk anywhere. I think your Vancouver grandmother was pretty shocked how different you are from the last time she saw you. I think they think you are this gentle, calm boy, but you are the total opposite. We call you the little rascal. However, despite all the craziness I think you are truly happy that you have your grandma here. She gives you so much love and attention and I think you love that.
Here's grandma pushing you on the swing. |
It must have been hard for your grandma because she asked me if you were going to daycare tomorrow. I was thinking that she would want you home full time while she was here, but I was wrong. I think you burnt her out!
You were so excited when you first got to the park. You rushed to a little car ride to ride it.
Afterwards you wanted to ride on the swing. You were on there for quite a long time. I want to capture this moment forever.
