And so it begins…

This weekend was about fulfilling a little boy's dream- a dream of wanting a wooden train set.
Every time we took you to a toy store you would stare longingly at the wooden train set that they had displayed. You would play with it and when we tried to pull you away you would throw a tantrum because you wanted to keep playing with it.

I had my eyes on wanting to get you a set and told daddy about it ever since I saw you playing with it in Sunday School at church. Once I planted the idea in daddy's head he did what he does best- research, research, research. Daddy's tendency is to research and then if it is worth it he will go out of his way to get it. He's been researching the different train sets for a few weeks now- the Thomas & Friends train set, Melissa and Doug, Chuggington, KidKraft, Imaginarium, etc. and the one that he thought got the best review was the Thomas & Friends one. The downside was that it was the most expensive out of all the ones he looked into. However, when it's concerning you daddy doesn't care how much it costs. He must get it for you. We pulled all our gift certificates that we had from Christmas together to cover some of the costs. We got you the starte set (shown), the playtable, and the playboard. What you see is the wooden starter set. We pre-ordered the table and the playboard so that will be arriving mid-February. I really hope that you get a good use of the train set because it's costing us a small fortune.
