Nate's 1-year birthday party

I'm constantly amazed how quickly time flies. It feels like yesterday when our friends Jenn and Ed had their son, Nate. But he is now celebrating his 1-year birthday... It was a great birthday party and I can't wait to celebrate many more years!

The cake was absolutely beautiful. 

My friend Jenn stayed up late each night working on all the decorations for the party.
It brought back memories of when I did that for your 1-year birthday party.

Jenn even set up a children's eating area. There were A LOT of kids.

You enjoyed a pre-birthday party snack.

Somebody gave you a balloon and you were so thrilled playing with it.

Jenn and Ed hired a children's entertainer, Jungle Jack. He was amazing, but you didn't pay
any attention to him. You were more interested in moving all the chairs around.

All the toddlers were listening to Jungle Jack, but here you are doing your own thing. Sigh.

Jungle Jack did magic tricks, but the best part was when he started making things out of balloons.
He made Nemo from Finding Nemo, Cinderella, a penguin, a dragonfly, an Alien, etc. etc.
They were all amazing.

Daddy was a bit frustrated that you didn't pay attention. I think you are still a little too young
to pay attention to anything (well, except for the TV), but I think you'll do better next year when
you're 3.

Even though you didn't pay attention, you did have lots of fun.

Daddy had to take you outside a few times because you were getting a little restless. 

You are so active now that you can't seem to stay still.

Daddy thinks you guys are twins, but I think you look more like me.

Now it's time for the dol ja bi. Nate changed into the traditional Korean dress. He doesn't look that
happy... Oh, that's his paternal grandma, btw.

Now it's time for Nate to smash his birthday cake. He couldn't though because his cake was made
out of fondant. It was too hard... Keke. It was still cute though.

At the end of the party while daddy was helping clean up you were playing with the balloons yet
again.

You were so fascinated that they kept rising.

Then you started chasing it.
