Happy birthday to mommy~

I just want to say this was one of the best birthdays that I've ever had in a long time. I still can't stop smiling. It was a perfect warm, summers day and although I was super busy at work I never felt so loved in my life. I had forgotten how special birthdays were and I'm now wishing every day was my birthday. People everywhere treated me so nice today!

The day started with daddy presenting mommy with a robin's egg-coloured box. Weeeeeee!
Daddy was so sweet. He put the small bag in your toddler bed with the handles tucked under your hand
while you were still sleeping. It was quite a pleasant surprise.

Isn't it gorgeous???

It's a black, onyx, Tiffany's toggle bracelet. So unique.

Here it is on mommy.

For dinner, your Toronto grandparents took me and Auntie Jess out for our birthday dinner at a
fancy new Korean restaurant called, Dahn. The interior was so beautiful.

You were trying to entertain everyone while we were there.

I forgot to take a photo of the 1st few dishes, but we ordered the 12-course dinner.
This was the tuna carpaccio. Everything was so beautifully presented.

Isn't it so beautiful to look at? I'm not sure what these are called, but they are mini vegetable pancakes.

This was one of the favourite dishes of the night. It had thin slices of roast beef. The idea was to
put a small amount of all the vegetables on top of the roast beef slice and roll it up to eat it.

Another favourite- a seared sea bass dish. The marinade was sweet and this was delish!

This was the bulgogi dish.

The idea was to cook the bulgogi in this propane-fuelled pan with the vegetables
cooking in the broth on the side of the pan. The pan was specially designed so that sides were lower
than the middle of the pan. That way the meat could cook separately and then mixed together
later. The way this was cooked the meat was so tender.
This is the bibim guksu. Looks spicy, no?
I got the mul naeng myun (cold buckwheat noodles) while most of the others got the
bibim guksu (noodles in red pepper paste).

The last dish was coffee or a sweet tea. I got the coffee, but everyone got this tea. It was chilled
and so good!

Auntie Jess also gave me an awesome gift. I got a tea mug with infuser and lid from
David's Tea. I absolutely love that store. Thanks Auntie Jess!

This is how it looks unboxed.

She also got me the Electric Lemon tea bag to have with my tea cup, but I already have a small
collection of David's Teas in my house.

I actually brewed the 'Read My Lips' tea and it was soooooo good! It had a chocolate-y
flavour to it.

But I have to admit, the best gift of all that I ever received in my life is... YOU!

I end with a shampoo/bubble bath/shower gel that I got from Sephora as my birthday gift for free!
