Roseola

This morning, daddy pointed out that you had all these red splotches on your head. I didn't think anything of it as you can sometimes get blotchy. It's only when I stripped you down to give you a bath that I noticed that your whole body was covered in red splotches. I googled 'fever and red splotches' and it turns out you have something called roseola. It's apparently really common amongst babies around 6 to 24 months. It's not something serious, but I'm still worried. The good news is that you broke your fever last night, but you are still a little whiny and your nose is still runny. I ended up staying home with you (even though it was a beautiful day today) to take care of you while daddy and Aidan went to Canada's Wonderland.

Even though we were stuck at home it didn't stop us from playing. I was able to take some cute snapshots of you playing in your brothers room.

When I took this photo of you it reminded me of Johannes Vermeer's painting Woman with A
Pearl Necklace
. Haha.

You have a cutest profile.

You had a blast playing by the window sill.

Watching the cars go by. Your brother used to do that when he was around your age ;-)

Always trying to stand. Here you are grabbing Aidan's dresser to pull yourself up to a standing
position.

Standing again. I'm pretty sure you will walk soon. You already stood on your own for a few
seconds without holding onto anything. It's only a matter of time until you take your first step.

My darling angel.
Even though you were sick you were still playing pretty well. Here's a montage video of you playing in Aidan's room.
