You are a dream baby.
I hear mothers complaining about getting no sleep and how their baby cries a lot, etc. etc.
Yes, I did suffer from lack of sleep the first 3 months, but after that you've been sleeping more than 10 hours each night. Today you slept more than 12 hours! I put you down last night at 8:30pm and you woke up at 10:30pm. I think it's because you know how to soothe yourself because you are a thumb sucker. If it wasn't for that I would be a total zombie. On days where Aidan goes to daycare I have to wake up at 6:20am to get him ready and out the door. I'm so tired on those days so it's great that I can go back to bed and sleep in because you let me do that. Even at nighttime I can just put you in your crib around 8pm and you'll maybe cry for 5-10 minutes and then you'll fall asleep sucking on your thumb. I know people say thumb sucking is a bad habit, but there is nothing I can do about that. You don't really take a pacifier and even if I try to take your thumb away you're right back at it. Aidan never sucked his thumb so it's something totally new for me. Don't get me wrong, Aidan was a dream baby too, but I think you are even better!
Here's a video of you that I took when you woke up this morning. You are always in such a good mood in the morning, especially when I take you to my floor-length mirror in my bedroom. I think you like seeing your reflection. Oh, and I think Rosco likes you. You'll see him in the video beside you. I know for a fact that Rosco doesn't like Aidan (but don't tell Aidan that!). I don't know why Rosco doesn't like Aidan. I think it's because Aidan is always running around and sometimes a little rough. He scares Rosco, I think, because Rosco doesn't know where Aidan's going to go next. However, Rosco is always trying to kiss you.
On another note, I hardly got any sleep last night because Aidan was sick. He had a fever so I slept with him just to make sure his fever wasn't getting worse. He was rolling around most of the night. Then he woke up crying because his nose was all stuffy and he couldn't breathe. He's a lot better now. He didn't have any fever today, just a bit of a runny nose. Phew!
