Dear Aidan,
When Auntie Sara was over yesterday we decided to try a faux hawk on you like David Beckham. However, because your hair is still quite short it didn't turn out perfectly the way I wanted it to. You still look cute though.
It's been a hard couple of days for me because you are very grumpy and cranky. I don't know if it's because you miss your grandparents. You are just exhausting to be with. This morning I put you in the playpen for most of the morning and you were so cranky. I need to put you in the playpen for a few hours a day because if I don't I'll go insane. I need a little time to myself and without that I'll go bonkers.
This morning I fed you pureed organic carrots that I made yesterday and you were not having any of it. You were making the funniest faces while eating it. I video taped you too so I'll upload that when I get a chance. I'm a little worried because you aren't eating solid foods as well as I want you to. You are still breastfeeding very well, but I have to weane you out of that in a couple of months.
You are currently taking a much-needed nap, but once you wake up I think I'll play with you and read you your new books that I picked up for you yesterday at Chapters. One is a baby bible. It's so cute. I'm really excited about that. ^_^
BTW, today is your paternal grandma's birthday. I made her a calendar from iPhoto of pictures I took of you, ordered it, and sent it to Vancouver. I hope she likes it! Here's a sneak peek of what it's going to look like:
