Becoming quite the reader

It's truly amazing to see you grow up before my eyes. I still vividly remember you as a baby so it just blows my mind that you are now reading. Ever since you started Kindergarten, you have really expanded your vocabulary and your writing and drawing skills are amazing.

Your teacher lets students who show exceptional reading skills to borrow from her own personal collection of books. I guess you are doing well, because you always come home with a new book in your backpack.

Sunday School fun

Today was the first time in a looooong time that I took you to church. I usually just take Aidan with me. It's because daddy doesn't go to church anymore. It's too hard for me to take both of you and plus, when I have you with me, that means I can't go into the sanctuary to listen to the Pastor's sermon. I can drop off Aidan at the older kid's ministry, but with you, I have to stay with you. I guess I can technically drop you off because we do that at daycare, but because church isn't a certified daycare, I just don't feel comfortable leaving you with volunteers.

The reason I took you with me (as well as Aidan) was because daddy had to go into work downtown. I had no choice but to take both of you guys with me. Because people at church hadn't seen you since you were much smaller, I think they were taken aback by how big you've grown. Everyone was saying how you cute you were now :-)

You were shy at first, but eventually you got pretty comfortable and had a blast.

You drive me crazy with your cuteness sometimes.

Please let this be the start of Spring!

Even though it is officially Spring, it's been mostly cold every single day. So imagine how delighted we all were when today's forecast was in the double digits.

I worked from home and as daddy had a work event this evening, I picked both of you up at school/daycare. Instead of just staying cooped up in the house, we decided to walk over to the park and spend the rest of the evening just enjoying the sunshine. It was so nice!
