Hello Noelle~

Meet your cousin, Noelle! She was born today. Isn't she so precious? Auntie Jess had such a hard time carrying her so it's a miracle that she was born healthy and almost full term. Praise God! I can't wait to meet her in person.

We had a mini fashion show today with Kendall. I love playing dress-up with her. Your Vancouver grandma brought clothes that her friend bought for Kendall so we wanted to take a few photos of Kendall wearing them. It's a little big for her, but doesn't she look so cute??

Your grandma has gone snap crazy ever since she got here. She's been taking hundreds of photos
of you and Kendall.

Thanks for the memories

Well, the time has finally come to say goodbye to our small car- the Acura 1.6EL. It's been with daddy since 1999, before he met me. It's a little bittersweet saying goodbye to this car, but it was time. It was starting to give this year and I didn't feel safe driving this sometimes in the highway.

We picked up our new car today- the 2013 Volkswagen Golf, the Wolfsburg Edition. It's so beautiful and I looooooove the colour. Daddy asked me if I wanted white or black and of course I had to say white. We drove it home today and it drove so smoothly. I think I'm in love~

Waiting at the airport

Today your Vancouver grandma came to Toronto to visit us. She's here for 3 weeks. I took you to the airport with me and I wasn't sure how friendly you would be, but you were pretty excited. We sent her Kakao Talk shots of your selfies while we waited for her to come out.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

We decided to put the tree up before your Vancouver grandma comes tomorrow. You helped me put up the tree last year, but I don't think you remembered doing it. You were pretty excited being mommy's little helper.

Ready to pass the star topper.

Look at our beautiful Christmas tree!

Kendall doesn't seem too impressed seeing you flash your belly :-/

Now all we have to do is fill the bottom of the tree with Christmas presents. Oh brother…

Our complete Christmas tree- with the lights on and the lights off.

Daily reports

Since your daycare got bought out last year, they've been slowly making positive changes. One of the changes that they have implemented was to put all your progress reports online in live stream. That includes reports of when you eat, sleep, have a bowel movement. Today, they started including milestones/achievements with a quick snapshot. It's awesome!

Look how adorable you are here.

Sorry this is cropped off.
I think they just wanted to indicate that you are walking, but you were walking ages ago.

Same with your fine motor- palmar grasp. This was achieved a long time ago.

So guess who's also allergy to nuts?

I was almost certain that you wouldn't be allergy to peanuts or nuts in general because you don't have eczema like Aidan. Your skin is actually really soft. I feel like eczema and nut allergies are connected in a way because all the kids that I know that have suffered from severe eczema have peanut allergies. But I was wrong. I got you tested for any allergies today because I just wanted to make sure. When the doctor told me you had 100% peanut allergy (your swelling was the biggest where she tested you for peanuts) I was shocked. She even said you may have allergies to tree nuts. The swelling wasn't that big so she wants to test you again in a year's time. Great… Now I have to get daycare epipens…

I asked the doctor if there was anything that I did during my pregnancy to cause the nut allergy since both daddy and I don't have any cases of nut allergy in the family, but she said it just happens sometimes. She actually got mad at me for thinking that I did something. She said when the older sibling has a nut allergy, it's most likely that the younger sibling also has a nut allergy… Thanks Aidan.

It's hard to tell in this photo, but the peanut allergy test caused the biggest swelling.

Such a cute girl. I just want to eat you sometimes because you're so cute!

And they're here!

Today you got your proofs back for the pictures you took on your school picture day. You always squint your eyes when you're smiling :-S
But I think this was better than how your daycare pictures turned out. See here.

It's amazing how quickly you are learning at junior Kindergarten even though you are only part time. I put stickers on all the words you know so far.

We've been reading every night to get you comfortable with words.

Have you seen anything cuter?

You are becoming cuter and cuter every passing day that you are driving me crazy with your cuteness. It's not just that you are physically cute, your actions are so lovable. You always come to me with open arms (to get hugs) and just even hearing my voice makes you break out into a huge smile. When you see me you just make this huge sucking-in sound because you are so excited to see me. How can you beat that???

This shot was taken on our way to Aidan's hip hop class. Usually I take Aidan by myself, but today, daddy decided we should all go because he had to run a few errands. It always makes me happy when we go out together as a family because nowadays, weekends are spent with me taking Aidan out while daddy stays home with Kendall.

Daycare class photo 2013

You got your daycare class photo today. Can you spot yourself?

Front row- you're one of the smallest in your class :-(

And the boy who you always talk about- Mateo.
You also had a new sheet in your 'Chimes and Chants' folder. I guess your J/K teacher was trying to teach you guys about peace since Remembrance Day was coming up. She wrote down what all the students said and I was so impressed with what you had to say. I thought it was the best answer! Hopefully, you can be a peacemaker instead of being an absolute terror that you can be sometimes :-S

Hip hop performance #2

The weather was horrible today. It was so rainy, windy and cold. However, it was a good day because you were good. I was actually listening to the radio on the drive to your dance class and Roz from Roz & Mocha (KiSS 92.5FM) was talking about a video he had seen that made him cry. I was curious to know what this video was so while I waited for your class to be over, I checked it out. Basically it was a video that taped a few moms and what they thought of themselves as moms. All of them were pretty negative about themselves (which is understandable because that's how I feel 99% of the time). And then the video goes on to show the children of these moms and what they thought of their moms. Take a look and it will make you cry. As quoted from the website the Stir, Making our children happy can be so simple. They don't care about parenting philosophies or long-range plans.
For kids, a trip to the ice cream shop, snuggling, or being tucked in each night are the things that make them happy. It's easy to beat ourselves up about all the things we don't do perfectly or the little mishaps that happen every day. But while we are doing that, we lose sight of all the things we are doing right. Like our little ones, we should focus on those seemingly simple moments that make them feel so special.

I didn't expect to see another hip hop performance so soon (as the teachers let us in last week), but it was a pleasant surprise. All of you guys were so cute.
